Our Company
Viking Shipping Company AS
is an independent Norwegian shipbroking company founded in
Oslo in February 1936. From the beginning, Viking Shipping
Company AS was given support by the family-owned Norwegian
shipowning company Th. Brøvig, which was established in Farsund
in 1889.
The main part of our business is done with long term business friends, but Viking Shipping Company AS has in recent years put emphasis on being recognised in the spot markets and is happy to see that these efforts have been remunerative.
In addition to this, we are rendering Agency services in port of Oslo.
Viking Shipping Company AS is member of the Norwegian Shipbrokers Association and the Baltic and International Maritime Council BIMCO. |

Our
Markets
In the early years, Viking Shipping Company AS worked with other clients, both exclusively and semi-exclusively, with emphasis towards charterers of tonnage.
The company is today also working spot dry cargoes competitively on a world wide basis, with strength in asia and two offices in that area.
The company is active in dry cargo chartering of bulk commodities,
both in the short sea and the deep sea markets.
In addition
Viking Shipping Company AS is playing an active role in the
forest products chartering markets in the Nordic/European/Baltic trade. |

Our
Offices
The Viking Shipping Company´s
head office is situated in the center of Oslo, Norway.
Due to the increased activity in the Asia region and in connection with our clients, Viking Shipping Asia Ltd. was opened in 2001 as a branch office in Hong Kong.
In 2005 Viking Shipping Company AS opened a branch office
in Singapore, Viking Shipping Company (Singapore) PTE. Ltd.
Viking Shipping Comapny AS is a dynamic organization who meets
its customers where their needs are.
Our office's are placed strategically around the globe to
provide a full range of shipping services.
